Arteta letter to Liverpudlian

London - Mikel Arteta made was touched by the support given to him when Liverpool fans were injured in a match at Anfield. In the Liverpudlian, he wrote a letter of gratitude.

"I just want to use this opportunity to thank all the support and friendship shown to me on Saturday. After the incident on the pitch, Arsenal medical team did a great job, along with everyone at Liverpool FC.
From Anfield, I was immediately taken to University Hospital Aintree, where they do a check on me, as a precaution. Everything is fine and I can re-join with my colleagues practicing in London.
I then see the repeat of what happened on television, the picture at which time I was taken out of the field and I want to show my appreciation to the Liverpool fans at Anfield.It was very touching, getting a response like that from the fans a big club when I was out of the field in an injury.
I would also like to thank Pepe Reina and the Liverpool players who sent me messages of support and friendship, again this is really touching and showed the class a great football club.
I really appreciate it. I can not tell you how meaningful this.
People may see me in very serious condition when leaving the field on a stretcher, but I am fine and hope to return soon.
