Ramires Extend Contract Until 2017

London - Ramires on the field performance rated satisfactory by Chelsea. As a reward,the Brazilian midfielder also get a contract extension of up to five years.

Ramires brought Chelsea in the summer of 2010 from Benfica. He immediately becameone of the mainstay of the Blues in midfield and played in 29 games in the PremierLeague that season.

Game against West Bromwich Albion last weekend became the 50th game to him withChelsea. Although he was defeated Chelsea, Ramires still get good news later.


"Today, Ramires has signed a contract that will make it tied with Chelsea until 2017," the statement on the official club website.

Ramires himself said he was happy and satisfied with this contract extension.

"I am very pleased with this new contract. I'm happy with all the support during my play at this club, so I would like to thank Chelsea," he said
